We've Got News For You!
Here is your chance to get behind and/or in front of the camera. Guests will arrive at the movie making venue to be met by their host and split into teams then given a briefing as to how the day will run. Each team will receive a camera, tripod, tape, props, make up, directors notes, camera notes, prop and make up notes. The teams will then be given all the day’s papers and each team will have to choose a story which they find amusing and turn it into a news report.
Teams will have a set amount of time to decide who will play each role in the news report, write the report in their own unique style and be ready to film in the designated “showroom”.
All scenes must be filmed in one take. Rewinding the camera is forbidden and will result in negative scoring. Throughout the event the host and their crew will be observing each team which could result in a change to each team’s final score.
Each news report must be on a different story and can be filmed in whatever style the team decides. Demon Wheelers will provide all the necessary equipment to film the “news report”, each team will have a 15 minute action slot where they will have to make their report in the set provided.
Throughout the event the judges will be watching the teams to score on team communication and productivity. Then once all the reports have been made and edited, there will be a group viewing where everyone will get to see each report with the judges making more scoring notes.
At the end of the event there will be prizes awarded for “best report”, “top cameraman” “top newsreader” and “top team”
This event is thoroughly entertaining for all involved while increasing team communication and creating a team building experience that will be remembered for a long time!
