Where is Inverness?

Inverness is the UK’s most northern city and is situated just north of Loch Ness. Inverness is a key gateway to the Highlands of Scotland. Its primary road arteries are the A9 which connects all the way to the very northern tip of Scotland and to the south to Perth and the M90. The A96 connects to the east to Aberdeen and the A82 connects to the south west of Scotland.

Inverness does have its own airport however flights are fairly limited with most flights being within the UK and a few to Europe. Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh all have airports which offer a larger choice of destinations. Flights from Inverness are primarily to Manchester and Gatwick which offer a full range on Domestic and international flights. Inverness railway station offers regular local departures as well as trains to Glasgow and Aberdeen.
