pladis Fun Day

The Overview:

pladis Global are a global biscuit, chocolate, confectionary company owned by Yildiz Holding. pladis Global were established in 2016, when Yildiz Holding brought together United Biscuits, Godiva, Ulker and DeMet’s Candy Company under one global business.

The Brief

Following the success of the previous 7 years’ Family Fun Days, pladis were looking for a themed event that could attract more people and be a standout event in their calendar. The theme was decided as Wild West, and needed to include a number of props, entertainers, and activities that were suitable for all age ranges from toddlers to adults, for them to be kept engaged throughout the day. The event was a celebration of their employee efforts, and as such should showcase and reward the employees and their families with an afternoon of fun and festivities.

Demon Wheelers provided a range of specific activities from Archery, Rodeo Bull, Inflatable Horse Racing, bespoke treasure hunts, and Laser Tag. As well as these, our fabulous Fun Day activities such as the Giant Slide, Giant Bouncy Castle, Soft Play Area and Crazy Golf.

Our theming and prop brands pulled out all of the stops with our Giant Jail Cell prop, hay bales and Lifesize Cowboys and Native Americans. We also had real-life cowboys on show, who provided a range of entertainment throughout the afternoon including live action fight scenes, along with our Whipcracker – who has the biggest whip in the country!

The event was a success all around and had predicted attendee numbers for the afternoon.  The day itself appealed to a wider audience than in previous years, and encouraged everybody to get dressed up and enjoy the show. It was a great day that was fully inclusive for their employees!

I just wanted to drop you both a line to pass on our massive thanks for all your hard work, and that of your amazing team at Friday’s event.

I really feel that the theme worked brilliantly…having your team embrace that with their outfits and all the little extras (the pladis signs, saloon doors at the entrance etc.) really helped bring it all together.

One little girl was so delighted to have won a plastic duck wearing a cowboy hat that it melted my heart! It was a brilliant day, despite the weather!
